Flexible armor RTDs provide the benefits of the metal transition RTD added protection of flexible stainless steel armor that covers the lead wires. The probes are designed for rugged applications, featuring a ¼” stainless steel flexible armor hose to combine the accuracy of a Resistance Temperature Detector with the durability of the flexible armor. Probes are manufactured with 316 stainless steel and are available in .125, .188, and .250 inch diameters while withstanding temperatures as low as -58°F to 500°F (-50° to 260°C) or Fiberglass wire up to 900°F (480°C). Overall, the flexible RTD is the preferred temperature monitoring instrument in demanding environments such as manufacturing, plastics processing, or energy.
