This construction allows for a temperature rating of 900°F (482°C) continuously and spikes of 1000°F (538°C).  The impregnation resin will burn off a 400°F (204°C).  Available in ASTM E 230 type J Special limits of error 1.1°C or 0.4% (whichever is greater).
